Program Outline and Services Offered
K.I.S.S. Foundation, Inc. is a Residential Therapeutic Community for adult men that suffer from alcoholism and drug addiction. Our program utilizes the 12 core functions with parenting classes, Anger Management classes, Domestic Violence Awareness classes, Life Skills training, Music & Art Therapy classes and a spiritually based 12-step recovery program incorporated into the TC program.
Community service opportunities within our local neighborhood is also mandatory for all residents. We promote unity, accountability and the “we”. This is a nine (9) month Residential program.
Our therapeutic community program is set up in levels.
Level One – Introduction, Stabilization, and Program Centered (Lia House)
This level begins on the first day and consists of four-six months of residency (varies per individual). The new resident becomes acclimated to the program and their surroundings. This stage also includes minimal contact with outside family and friends as the new resident becomes comfortable in the program.
Participation in daily recovery groups and attendance at seven (7) outside 12-step meetings per week is mandatory. Transportation is provided by the foundation to 12-step meetings. Community service opportunities are offered. Residents are encouraged to seek medical attention for existing medical conditions and mental health issues. Clients are expected to maintain all court & probation appearances whenever and wherever necessary.
Level Two – Transition (Lia House & Ronnie’s House)
This level is worked in conjunction with Level One. Once clients are transitioned to this Level, they will begin to search for full-time, verifiable employment. Staff assists all residents in interviewing skills, resume writing and job searches.
Level Three – Re-Entry (Ronnie’s House & Jack’s House)
This level will last for the balance of the nine (9) months or longer, if the resident wishes to stay longer. In this level the resident is working full time, are completely engaged in the outside community and has taken on the role within the therapeutic community as a senior peer. Aftercare is held weekly at the facility and is mandatory that all residents in this level attend.
We also have two (2) additional houses, Ronnie’s House and Jack’s House for residents that need/want to reside after program completion.
